Today, embark on an exhilarating adventure through one of the world's most stunning desert landscapes. We will depart from our hotel at approximately 07:30 a.m. (this time will be confirmed beforehand as it may change depending on the season).

Our journey will take us toward Yerbas Buenas, where we will be greeted by breathtaking views of the Domeyko Mountain Range, the Cordillera de la Sal, and the Andes Mountains.

Yerbas Buenas is renowned for having the most extensive collection of rock art in Atacama. Here, we will have the opportunity to admire petroglyphs that date back as far as 6,000 years.

At a picturesque spot selected by our guide, we will set up a delightful breakfast to savor amidst these remarkable landscapes.

Our journey will then take us deeper into the region until we reach the Rainbow Valley, also known as the Valley of Mars. Located approximately 90 km north of San Pedro, it lies amidst the Domeyko Range.

This valley is noted for its diverse colors and shapes in rock formations, earning its name from the mineral layers that create a spectrum of colors, ranging from shades of red and green to purples and blues. The extraordinary rock formations, canyons, and ridges give this place an otherworldly appearance.

We will also have the chance to embark on walks through this captivating landscape, exploring various paths that lead us through the rock formations and offer stunning panoramic views of the valley.

This area is also known for its pre-Columbian petroglyphs, ancient rock carvings that narrate the stories of the indigenous cultures that once inhabited the region.

After immersing ourselves in this extraordinary landscape, we will proceed to Río Grande, a quaint village known for its artisans and farmers. Here, we will have time to explore the area and visit local markets.

We will then head back to San Pedro and drop you off near the municipal parking area. From there, you can either explore the town further or return to your hotel at your leisure. If you prefer a private service, we can drop you off directly at your hotel.
