Our first destination is the Salar de Atacama, the largest salt flat in Chile and the third largest globally.

This vast white expanse stretches endlessly, creating a lunar landscape that contrasts sharply with the deep blue sky and the surrounding mountains. We will have the chance to stroll across the salt flat, admire the stunning salt formations, and revel in the expansive scenery.

Amidst the salt flat, we will encounter one of the desert's largest saline lagoons, Laguna Chaxa, which hosts numerous migratory birds, including the renowned Chilean Flamingo, attracted by its high salt and nutrient content.

During the tour, our guide will ensure we find the perfect spot for the best postcard-worthy view to enjoy a delightful breakfast.

Following this moment of relaxation, we will proceed to the village of Toconao, a picturesque town located a few kilometers from the Atacama Salt Flats. Its cobbled streets and adobe houses provide a rustic charm that contrasts with the surrounding arid landscape.

One of the standout attractions in Toconao is the Church of San Lucas, constructed in the 18th century and declared a National Monument. The town is also renowned for its local crafts, particularly sculptures made from liparite stone, a type of volcanic rock.

We will immerse ourselves in the local culture before continuing to the final, yet equally impressive, stop: La Quebrada de Jere, an oasis amidst the arid desert. Here, we will discover a small stream winding through towering stone canyons and lush vegetation, including palm trees and carob trees.

Additionally, it is a significant archaeological site, home to petroglyphs and pictographs that reveal the presence of ancient cultures in the region.
